Retaliation
When an employee is subject to unfair write-ups, demotion or job loss it can often be a sign of illegal retaliation by your employer. Not all retaliation is illegal - rather there are a few categories of things an employer cannot fire you for:
(1) When an employee requests a medical or military leave;
(2) When an employee asks for an accommodation for a disability;
(3) When an employee complains about discrimination based on age, race, religion, sex or national origin;
(4) When an employee reports unsafe or apparent illegal activities in the work place.
If you have engaged in activities described above and have been subject to negative job action, you may have a legal claim for retaliation. Contact Koc Law LLC to evaluate your case during a free initial consultation today.
